We are the CDGA Foundation Boatwright Intern team of Blake Harmet and Kayla Dunbar. This past March, we were both thrilled to be given USGA P.J. Boatwright Internships with the CDGA. We have a lot of fun and exciting events coming up this summer and we can't wait to get started!

"Golf has been a huge part of my life for a long time. Having a physical disability, growing up it wasn't something I thought I could participate in. But now, thanks to adaptive equipment and programs like the CDGA Foundation, I play as often as I can. Being a part of the Foundation has shown me how much good the game of golf does for people, and I am honored to be a part of their mission."-Blake Harmet

"I've always had a very strong passion for the game of Golf. Playing the sport competitively all through High School and working in the golf industry since 2013 has only grown my love for golf and its culture. Given the opportunity to work with the CDGA Foundation has been one of the most rewarding and eye-opening experiences so far knowing that we utilize the game of golf to enhance individuals with special needs, veterans and youth. I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of this foundation." -Kayla Dunbar

ABOUT 2019 Par 3 100-Hole Golf Marathon

The CDGA Foundation Golf Marathon has been an integral part of the CDGA Foundation’s fundraising efforts, raising over $900,000 in its previous twelve years. Funds raised go directly towards CDGA Foundation programming, which utilizes the game of golf to enhance the lives of individuals with special needs, veterans and youth.

FORMAT

Participating golfers spend the time leading up to the event collecting pledges from family, friends and business associates. The CDGA Foundation provides participants with tools to achieve a $2,500 fundraising goal. Then, on Saturday, May 22 at Zigfield Troy Golf in Woodridge, golfers will play 100 par-3 holes in a fun and quick fashion. Lastly, individuals who reach the $2,500 fundraising goal will be invited to a year-end party featuring golf and two meals at a private country club.

PLAY

Those interested in participating in the Golf Marathon or donating to a player should contact Alex Nolly at anolly@cdga.org or (630) 685-2351.

DONATE

You can make a contribution to an individual participating or the event as a whole.
